Emma Appointed As Svella Claims & Insurance Manager

A new Claims & Insurance Manager has been appointed to support both Svella Connect and Svella Asset Services with the management of all claims and customer complaints, including relating to motor fleet claims, employer and public liability, property damage and utility strike claims.

Emma Walker joined the business in May and will be the central contact for manging claims processes across all stakeholders including line managers, HSE, HR, senior management and insurers. This will involve her working to investigate incidents, make recommendations on challenging or settling claims and have overall responsibility for managing these claims.

“By improving this process and having a dedicated resource we can look to manage claims as cost effectively as possible by reducing any damages payable and also improving our claims history when it comes to insurance renewals and premiums,” explained Svella General Counsel Holly Loudon.

“In addition to reducing costs, Emma’s role in investigating and managing these claims will also identify areas where we can learn and take away key points from incidents and so she can then support with any improvement measures and implement best practice across our operations.”

Emma Walker said: “I’m looking forward to getting involved in the insurance element for both Svella businesses and aim to manage the case load of claims and ensure they are handled and closed in a professional and time effective manner.

“I will also review current processes with regards to insurance related matters and aim to implement improvements which will allow both myself and my colleagues better access to all claims and information needed. This is required to create new successful business measures which will reduce the reoccurrence of claims going forward and will also help with continuous improvement and embedding a longer-term culture change.”
