Svella Asset Services has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Simon Cartwright (left) as its new Managing Director and Paul Russell as Transport Manager.
The business is responsible for the supply and maintenance of the specialist tools, plant, vans and trucks which are required by Svella Connect. It also operates a temporary accommodation business which, together with plant and vans, forms the cornerstone of its external customer base – servicing the requirements of key customers such as Galliford, Keltbray, BODE Contracting and Arthur Civil Engineering.
Simon said: “I’m looking forward to ensuring that Svella Asset Services provides a strong foundation to our colleagues at Svella Connect and the promotion of a “one company” ethos, as well as ensuring we are well-placed to support the wider Svella business in its strategic ambitions.
“This will be achieved through people, processes and innovation. There’s a lot of hard work ahead of us but, having had the privilege of meeting my team and colleagues around the business, I’m confident we are well-equipped for a strong future and making Svella Asset Services a great place to work.
“With our supply partners and in-house expertise, we will be seeking to be at the forefront of new services, methods and technologies.
“Of manifest importance to me is to ensure we are standard-setters against the compliance demands of the industry and external regulatory bodies; ensuring that we always retain our position in the marketplace.”
Simon has held senior operational and commercial roles in transportation for 20 years including leadership of Hoyer’s contract with Shell – the largest third party fuels contract in Europe.
Meanwhile Paul has extensive experience in transport management having held positions with Eddie Stobart and Stobart Energy.
