Svella Connect has confirmed its commitment to equality, diversity and inclusivity by earning recognition as an official Disability Confident Employer.
The Government-run Disability Confident scheme recognises employers which attempt to make the most of the talents disabled people can bring to the workforce.
Disability Confident employers help to challenge attitudes towards disability, increase understanding of disability, remove barriers faced by disabled people and those with long-term health conditions and ensure that disabled people have the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
Nicola Arrowsmith, Svella Connect People Director, said: “Svella Connect prides itself on being an open and inclusive employer. We are determined to draw from the widest possible pool of talent and we welcome anyone who has the enthusiasm and skills we’re after.
“Employee morale is very important to us and everyone in Svella Connect can be secure in the knowledge that we treat everyone equally and fairly whatever their circumstances.”
Disability Confident employers are recognised as going the extra mile to make sure disabled people get a fair chance.
As part of the scheme, Svella Connects receives a certificate of achievement and a badge promoting the initiative to use on stationary and social media communications.
