Virgin Media Partner Event Looks To Improve Communication & Targeting

Members of the Svella Connect executive team attended the recent Virgin Media Working Together partner event held in Birmingham.

This event was the first since lockdown and included all partners working across the Virgin workstreams with panel discussions involving various stakeholders including Rob Evans, Sam Turner, Sue Steggles Cole and Cormac Connolly.

The afternoon focused on working within groups to identify ways to bring forward initiatives on addressing industry challenges with the supply of labour, improving communication between partners and Virgin Media and addressing ways to improve the availability of resources to allow delivery of works in the field.

Karen McKenzie, Svella Connect Operations Director, said: “We engaged and discussed at length around the need for open and honest dialogue on delivery targets and setting achievable numbers.

“We also covered measuring and managing delivery targets to ease the month end burden and avoiding the “Hockey Stick effect” which I am sure all the teams will resonate with in our Build workstream!

“Some other very interesting topics we touched on included trust, sharing best practice, collaboration and safety – so overall it was a very useful session to help strengthen our relationship with Virgin Media.”
